Have you ever wondered what it feels like to strike a pose?
I define a pose as a kind of casing[1] which is informed by concepts of normativity and (gender-)roles.
I put my body inside this cocoon so that my skin is touching the shell. It changes the position of my head and the way my eyes and mouth are opened.
I can strike a pose and I can drop out again. But I wonder if my skin is ever looked at as skin without an extra covering which defines what I am.[2]
